What you can check

ASO Lab brings keyword suggestions, estimated demand, difficulty and returned search results into one workspace. Add your app to check its position for selected keywords, switch markets, and export your research to CSV.

Demand and difficulty are internal comparison scores. They are not measured monthly search volumes, install forecasts or guarantees that your app can rank.

Build a shortlist in three steps

  1. Start with a real use case. Try a phrase such as “habit tracker” or “USB camera” that describes the main job your app performs.
  2. Inspect the results. Open the apps that appear for a phrase. If their purpose differs from yours, a high demand score does not make that keyword useful.
  3. Compare in one market. Keep the country consistent when comparing scores and positions. Save a small list of relevant phrases and export it before changing your listing.

Keyword position is different from category rank

A keyword position describes where an app appears for a search phrase in the checked results. A category rank describes its place in a chart. An app can perform well for a specific phrase without appearing in the overall top chart.

A missing position means the app was not found in the scanned results. It does not prove the app has no visibility elsewhere.

Do I need a paid account?

No. The keyword tool is free to use without signing up. Your saved workspace stays in your browser on this device. Export a CSV if you need a separate copy of your research.
