Why there is no exact Play Store volume

Google Play does not share search counts with anyone, including paid ASO tools. Tools that show a Play Store “volume” are estimating it, usually from suggestions, rankings or their own panels. ASO Lab shows the Google Search number as a number and the Play signal as a score, so you always know which is measured and which is modelled.

How to read them together

  • High searches, high demand: a big, competitive phrase. Check difficulty before targeting it in your title.
  • Low searches, high demand: people look for this mainly inside the Play Store (common for app-type phrases like “wallpaper” or “launcher”).
  • High searches, low demand: the interest exists on the web, but few people search it as an app. Often an informational query.
  • <10 searches: almost nobody searches it on Google. Keep it only if the Play demand score says otherwise.

Any country, the local language

Pick the market and ASO Lab asks Keyword Planner for that country and checks Play suggestions in its main store language. Hover a volume to see the month-by-month trend and spot seasonality.
